Everyday habits for success

Ever feel as though you are stuck in a rut, or lacking motivation in your job? Have you got goals but they seem impossible to achieve? This week, we share our insider info on how everyday habits can help you achieve your goals and help you to succeed in everything that you do.

Plan your week in advance

Keeping a planner or journal and scheduling your week out in advance helps you to feel more in control of your life and will help clear your headspace and coordinate your thoughts. It also has an added benefit of enabling you to reflect upon what you do every day, and to be more mindful of what you have achieved each day and week.

Give yourself 3 tasks to prioritize each day

Often times we hinder our own success by creating impossibly long to- do lists, which only leads to peaks and troughs of productivity and then burn out or loss of motivation. Setting 3 goals to prioritize per day will help you to organise your thoughts and focus on your priorities.

Give yourself down time

Giving your brain a break is as important as all the work you are doing to learn and grow. Schedule In some time for your mind and body to relax and make sure you are unwinding at night so that you get good quality sleep. Taking a break from work during the day to go on a walk, or cooking a nice meal in the evening, whatever it is, ensure you are giving yourself time to do things that you enjoy.

Use the  sources and materials available to you

Whether it be by listening to motivational podcasts, reading blogs (like this!), or by bouncing ideas of friends, make sure to make the most of all the help and advice within your network and further afield. Actively looking for tips and tricks on how to achieve what you want will reinforce your mindset and motivate you further to attain your goals, especially once you are armed with all of the tools to approach them.
